when I pull my car in gear it bogs down and will die after bout 5 seconds if I can't roll or give it gas. is this vacuum related or ignition or timing or what. I can't even drive it.cuz its such a pain. built 355 solid cam 501 lift 297 301 duration stock stall stage 3 race 700r4

 

maybe its from that stock converter, with that huge cam?

 

whats it idle at in park ?

 

What are the @50 duration numbers on the cam?

Most likely you will have to raise the idle speed to allow for the cam ( and possibly change the stall as mentioned )
If you are making the Hp you claim from a 355 then no way is it gonna idle like stock
What induction do you have?

 

Usually that's a matter of tuning; idle speed & mixture, having enough ignition timing, etc.

What cam is it? (part # or grind # ONLY please)

What kind of carb? How's it set up? What's the timing curve?

THe stock converter probably isn't helping, but it should idle, regardless. Usually that just makes a car have no "leave".

 

its a speedway circle track cam don't have .any part number or grind. stock jetted carb performer 600 edelbrock. I no it won't idle like a normal car but it won't idle at all. even with the idle wayyyyy up it won't idle
