should i run aluminum harmornic balancer
I have an aluminum harmonic balancer and i want to run it on my freshly built 1st gen small block350. This car will be driven on weekends and it should perform well. Someone told me not to run the balancer on street car. Any thoughts?

With the extent of the information you've provided, the answer is no, don't use it.
Even if that damper was custom built for a specific engine/use/rev range, a heavier steel damper probably will make more power and provide more protection to the crank.

thanks, i was told they are good for the strip. he told me with the water pump, power steering, etc... it may strip the pulley bolts and yank the pulley off the front of it.
