will this cam ruin my heads?

Hi all, i'm looking at getting the comp cam 08-501-8 cam with lift of .488/.495. I'm not sure what the stock heads of a L98 TPI will handle. I called comp cams and they suggested the 501 the first call and the second call the suggested a 500. Will the 501 be ok without having to machine my heads or put shims in there? Im getting new valve springs as well. I also do NOT want to need a tune.

I have a Comp Cam with those same lift specs and I have stock heads. All I did was use the recommended springs, locks, and keepers and had a machine shop install them. No issues at all. With that cam, you will fare better with a tune. My cam number is 08-412-8. XR264HR
