Re: Head Identification

There are several chevy heads that have 462 but not in that sequence.

Re: Head Identification

Big chamber, thin cast heads. Not so great.

Re: Head Identification

1979-1083. Used on 350. 1.94/1.50 valves

Thin wall casting. Common to be cracked. 76cc smog heads. Very similar to the 882 casting.

Boat anchors. Zero performance potential. Not worth the money to do anything to them.

If you need a set of heads for an OEM build and they're free, they could work. If you have to pay anything for them or want a good head, they're not worth it.

Re: Head Identification

I would prefer the 882 over the 624

Re: Head Identification

Nothing special about 882. They're the best of the worst castings. There are much better choices
