Car: 1989 GTA

Engine: 5.7 w/Paxton

Transmission: 700R4

Axle/Gears: 3.27

Setting Idle Stop Scew on TPI

Car has 58mm Holley Throttle Body. How do you set the idle stop screw and and at the same time adjust the TPS voltage?

Adjust TPS first, then set minimum idle and go back and check TPS again. If it was way off you might have to do it more than once.

The problem then is the butterflies on the throttle body are more or less open than they should be at start-up. Am I missing something?

You disable the IAC , set min idle speed with the screw , then reset TPS
