pulleys, belts, and stuff
pulleys, belts, and stuff
Since I'm building a new Dart SHP 400 engine for my 84 TA I'd like to put nice new pulleys on it. I must say I'm totally confused about all the different arrangements that are available.
I think that the serpentine system seems to be preferable to the V-belt but what about alternator placement? What are the pros and cons of the low passenger side vs high passenger side? I think the low looks cleaner, are there problems with this? I don't need the air-con pump so just water pump, alternator, power steering.
Cheers

Re: pulleys, belts, and stuff
When power steering pulleys are advertised as "saginaw type" does that mean they only fit saginaw pumps or are the standard third gen pumps saginaw type?
