you'll have to get a 350 block. I mean you could bore out your 305 then stroke it, but even then I doubt you would be even close to 350 cubic inches. Which is useless because you could do that to a 350 block and have yourself a 383

Can't bore a 305 out to 350.

Without changing the engine, there isn't a thing at all you can do.

The simple answer is no. Not possible. Just get a 350 and go from there.

There is, and if you use one then you spend more money and do the same or more work to get less results than if you'd just put a 350 in.

Re: How can i make a 5.0 tpi into a 5.7 tpi

Thanks for the comments? But i dont really feel like changing the motor. Now that you said that there is no way to get a 5.7tpi with only changing parts. What are other things i can put on the 5.0tpi, what about a turbo? Or something to get more horsepower? I dont want to change the motor because it only has 80xxx miles and Im the second owner of the car, but well i have a 1986 gmc sierra with a 350, could i just switch the motors or it wont be the same because the sierra is automatic?

There's no turbo kit you can bolt on, and I don't think you're ready yet to build your own.

Spend some time reading the boards to see what other people have done with their cars to get some ideas about what you can do with yours.

Re: How can i make a 5.0 tpi into a 5.7 tpi

A turbo build can be more complex than an engine swap. Custom fab work. Custom tuning. A good exhaust and headers, k&n filters, port and polish job along with afpr and Bosch III injectors will help your 305. Better gears in your axle too, will make the feeling of an engine swap.

That truck 350 is tbi. Your tpi 305 will out perform that.

If you change the gears, 3.42's are the best way to go. Like mention before, a full exhaust system, gut the air box and just have some fun with those mods.
