Fuel leak
I have noticed that i have developed a minor fuel leak back by the rear tires. I know its fuel because my garage stinks of it. I havent diagnosed it yet, but I do have a couple preemptive questions. I think (hope) it might be a line, but if it turns out to be the tank, or even if I have to drop the tank for any reason, it would be a good opportunity to upgrade to a fourth gen tank. The Junkyard has a couple 4th gen camaros, and firebirds in it. What is involved in the swap? Is it just straight bolt-in, or are there modifications that need to be made? Would a Bird tank be better than a camaro tank? Im still hopeful for just a loose line

Re: Fuel leak
If the tank is wet on the side it's most likely the filler tube

Re: Fuel leak
Was doing some quick glances at it right now. Good news, I am fairly confident it isnt the tank (gas cap hisses when removed). However, one of the idiot POs that had this car messed with the tank prior (tank is off center, and the electrical connector that goes into the body, the clip is zip tied). So, now its off to diagnose loose connections, bad lines, etc. Is there a way to kinda twist the tank to center it without having to drop it?

Re: Fuel leak
Loosening off the straps and wiggling it back into the slots where it belongs is something that should be possible. I think you might have to move some heat shields in order to get at the bolts, but it shouldn't as big an ordeal as completely removing the tank.
