85 camaro wont start neutral saftey?

I have a 85 Camaro and I started it than shut it off and went to restart and nothing.i can jump selinoid and and will start. so I checked neutral start swith wires, the yellow and the purple wires have power when trying to start. any helpful ideas

But does the wire on the solenoid that comes from the NSS have power when the key is in the START position?

no power t starter solenoid

It's odd that there is no power on the purple wire at the starter when it has power at the NSS. Repeat the power check on that wire and verify that you have a good ground on your test light or DVOM. Check the connections at the solenoid for corrosion or burning. You're talking about a large gauge wire that doesn't normally fail. More likely poor connection or just a bad solenoid.
