Timing chain recommendations

I need a new timing chain set. Anyone recommend one that will fit behind the stock cover and work with a comp cam? (89 5.7)

How about this one: 9-3146 http://www.jegs.com/i/Cloyes/220/9-3146/10002/-1

Would you get the thrust bearing with it?

Re: Timing chain recommendations

You can also use comp cams or edelbrock.... aslong as you use a double roller you will be fine. The stock single roller chain will work but for a few extra $$$$ a double roller is the way to go.

Re: Timing chain recommendations

Used the Comp 2136 on a stockish engine recently. It did fit behind the timing cover, and it did not touch the block. But I think it would be prudent to check the clearance before you put it back together.
