i recently aquired a 83 z28 with a t5 for 300$, it has a siezed bottom end , i have a few questions since the motor is seized how do i take the bolts out of the clutch? iv only pulled 1 sbc and i remember rotating the engine too get at the bolts, should i pull the engine and tranny together? or can i seperate them with the motor seized up still in the car, please and thank you for the help, incl picture of the car and my 85 se with 305/700r4

 

You should be able to do it either way if you have a good set of tools.

 

The 5 spd will slide out of the clutch, then remove the bellhousing. Its not like a torque converter.
