dropped a new motor in and have sensor ?'s

I swapped my 305 out for a 350, put it in and fired it up. Oil pressure gauge is pegged to the top and temp sensor does not work (car got hot/fan did not kick on) book does not do a very good at showing what and where/what these sensors are. (facing the motor) there are two sensors on the left side, and on the right side there is one by the oil filter and one under the exhaust manifold. I assumed the one by the thermostat was the temp sensor.

Re: dropped a new motor in and have sensor ?'s

Left = driver's side (who cares where you're facing at the moment, all that talking about it that way does, is create confusion)

Temp gauge sending unit = between #1 & #3 spark plugs (driver's side head near front) should have one wire, dark green

Fan sw = between #6 & #8 spark plugs (pass side head near rear; same hole as above if the heads were exchanged) also one wire, also dark green

Coolant temp sensor (for ECM) = near thermostat; 2 wires, yellow & black; not sure about this "assume", sounds like something a human would do, highly illogical, usually a bad idea when you don't already know something FOR CERTAIN

Knock sensor = pass side, exact front-to-rear center of block, just above oil pan rail, right near front end of starter motor; back in 1955 it was introduced as "coolant drain" so the guys at Frod & Xler wouldn't sniff out that the small block Chevy was "EFI ready"

Oil pressure gauge sending unit = either right behind/under the distributor, or on driver's side right above the oil filter; either place will work the same, but the factory located it in one or the other in different models & years
