New Non CC dist is acting up

So after having multiple issues with my last Accel distributor, I went with a non CC MSD dizzy. I already see a difference in performance and get a little better MPG, but now I am having problems. When I sit at a light the car starts to bog a bit, almost feels like it is misfiring and has a hard time accelerating but after maybe 30 MPH snaps right back to running fine. The plugs and wires are fairly new and I really doubt that is the problem, but I have been wrong many times before. Any ideas as to what could be the culprit?

Could not say about timing as I had a local shop do it due to a waranty on my Accel, and its the roch quad

Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
Re: New Non CC dist is acting up

Doesn't sound like anything having to do with the dist. More like, it's now the hotter season of the year.

Sounds more like fuel boiling in the carb. Especially if, it's UNBEARABLE after parking for a short time and then starting up and trying to drive (stop at the store type thing), but then clears up and acts normal within a minute or so.

Yeah, I didn't know how that combo would play out but I hadn't heard anything bad with it, granted IDK how many people tried it.
It should be running the dizzy off a vacuum line

Well most of my driving is for our weekly car shows/ races and they are done at night, when the local temp is around 60* so I hope it's not boiling then. It has been having a hard time starting up after you drive for a while though. Used to start up faster and easier than any other car I have driven, but now takes a few cranks to get going. Would it help if I get an audio clip of it sputtering? you can tell its acting up when you go to throttle it and it easy to hear.

Re: New Non CC dist is acting up

I would start with the obvious tune up stuff. Pull a plug and see how it looks. Check the gap on it. If its a new dizzy, I doubt it would be acting up.
