Vortec head cam selection
I know it's been repeated over and over but what am I expecting lift wise on l31 roller heads running ls6 valvetrain (springs, retainers, keepers) what would be the best rocker arms? Sorry for the repeated question but its my first build so I wanna be safe but have utilize as much lift as possible. I've heard mixed things from .532 to .507 and even people saying close to .600.

i can tell you from experience that unported vortecs are a blast with the HOT cam that has .525 lift... just make sure to add screw in studs to your shopping list...

What compression are you going to run?
Roller or tappet cam?
Also if you get them machined for screw in studs I would add 1.6 exhaust valves.

If you go with 1.6 rockers the pushrod holes have to be enlarged as well. If you want to go roller check out the vortec hot cam builds. I just finished up my 350 with that combo and it's very fun!
