Hydraulic Clutch Slave Assembly question
Ok, I can't not get the U-Bolt out of the firewall. I took off 2 nuts against the fire wall from the inside. The u-bolt will not budge at, I'm even done some heavy tapping on it, nothing. Am I missing something else to take it off?

Exactly what are you trying to take off ? The slave assembly is on the side of the motor/tranny to push the fork. The master cylinder is that what you're talking about? It's mounted beside the brake master cylinder on the firewall. I'd have to look at my car when I get off work to possibly help ya out.

I'm replacing the whole assembly. But yes, right now working on getting the master cylinder out of the firewall. It won't budge at all.

Ok. I haven't looked at mine but I've never had to change it. So the rod running to the pedal have you looked at it. I'm not sure but it seems as if there should be something holding on there as well.

Re: Hydraulic Clutch Slave Assembly question
I think there are some locking washer like things as well as the nuts on the cabin side. If you have those off, the u bolt can be difficult to get out. It has to come out evenly or the threads get stuck on the holes. Use a block on both ends of the u and tap w hammer. It's also possible to be rusted in place.

Well I finally managed to get the U-Bolt out last night. Stuck a flat head screwdriver between the master cylinder and firewall and with some wiggling and cussing, half a pack of reds the bolt came out.
