90 RS with 350
90 RS with 350
I wasn't sure where to post this but im going to buy a car tomorrow it is a 90 rs 5-speed with a 350 in it, obviously not the original engine. The car has 170,700miles on the body and i think i can get it for $1550. Is this a good deal?

Seems fair if it hasn't ever been crashed, and if all the important parts are there.

Re: 90 RS with 350

Only way to confirm is from the engine casting # on the rear of the block.
Depending on the engine year , the casting # may be on the other side from that shown in the pic blow
Also ask if they changed the chip in the computer to a 350 one and the other items needed for a 350 swap

You should be able to. Getting your face down there to actually see the numbers is usually the hardest part.
Many blocks had the last 3 digits of the casting number cast into the side of the block in fairly large digits. It's usually easier to see those than it is to see the full number on the back of the block. You'll probably have to get under the car, though.
