power braking issues
I noticed an issue tonight while I was power braking with a friend. After a certain rpm, my vortex kinda lames out, like it just quits screaming and stays at one rpm. Is this normal or is something off? Now I know that power braking isn't the best and I never do it, never really have too since this car will roast the tires without the brakes but can anyone give me some in site in what's going on?

Re: power braking issues
If your spinning the tires at WOT is it possible you're hitting a speed limiter ?

Sorry, if you don't have a ECM then obviously you don't have a limiter.

Re: power braking issues
Will have to think on this one a bit. What rpm does it become stationary?

Not real sure since I'm running the original v6 tach still but its around the top of first gear I'd say 4500 rpm?

Re: power braking issues
Didnt think of that but im running a stock cam with upgraded valvesprings( alex springs) so I didnt consider that, what the motor does is it revs alittle higher than normal then drops downn to where it stays till I let off the brake then I think it comes back up to its higher rpm. Would over tightened rocker arm nuts do this?
