If the pump is running and you have no fuel pressure at the engine you have a problem with fuel lines somewhere.
If you disconnect the supply line at the engine ,do you have any fuel flow?
If not possibly a split hose in the tank between the pump and outlet ?

When you just kit the key, the pump will only run 4 2seconds unless the ecm gets a cranking signal.
Did you put the sock on the bottom of the pump? clamp the rubber intank PSI line and use the new supplied hose? Do you have enuff fuel in the tank?

If it doesn't prime when you turn the key to on/run, but does after some cranking, the following could be the cause.
Once the oil pressure rises to 6-8psi the oil pressure switch closes bypassing the fuel pump relay.
With the engine off and key off supply 12v to the "G" terminal of the ALDL test connector.
It's the lower left pin of the connector. This will power the fuel pump, you should see full pressure on a gauge if you have one connected before doing this.
Possible problems are Fuel Pump Relay, and or ECM assuming all wiring is good.
I and others have posted on this problem so a search should have found it.

Confirm you have 12V on the org relay wire at all times
When the key 1st turned on , check for 12V on the dark green / white wire ( 2 seconds ) to the relay from the ECM that operates the relay
A fail on any of those will prevent the relay working and supplying power to the pump

With the engine started and running off the OP switch, see if you have power on the grn/ white wire at relay ?
If you do the ECM is operating the relay in "running" mode but not doing the prime function
If not, pull the harness connector off the ECM and check the grn/ wht wire (ECM terminal A1 ) to the relay for continuity, possibly a broken wire ?
See

If you have continuity but no signal to the relay at any time, consider the ECM at fault
