I recently started hearing a grinding/scraping sound coming from my engine

Axle/Gears: Stock
I recently started hearing a grinding/scraping sound coming from my engine

I was driving down the road earlier and just starting hearing random grinding/scraping sounds coming from what sounds like my engine. It doesn't make the sound in accordance with the RPM level however. What could this be?

Could be many things, your profile is incomplete. I would guess water pump or bent transmission dust cover or loose flex plate to tq bolt.

Had this same sound problem. It was my converters. they were blown and the sound was the rusty debris flying around inside the exhaust. Sure sounded like parts were flying inside of the oil pan.
