Too much air?

Too much air?
Hey guys, This past weekend I decided to remove my entire intake to do some cleaning(I hadn't realized how filthy my air filter was)and all went well. I cleaned a TON of buildup out of there. I also replaced my air filter with a high flow one. Now there's the problem, when I hit the gas the engine hesitates (like its taking a breathe) before it starts moving. I have a cool air intake, bostch injectors, a performance chip, and high flow exhaust too. It's never given me this problem until I cleaned everything! It almost sounds like it's out of gas, like the hesitation sounds similar to the noise that happens when you putter out of gas. Anyone know what i can do? Thanks everyone.

Hmmmm I am far more familiar with speed density cars but I can only assume it's sensor related. Considering you could run an exposed throttle body without any ducting or filters at all, your problem will have nothing to do with "too much air". Hopefully someone with more experience will chime in but my GUESS would be an MAF issue. Possibly? Taking for granted that the only things you removed were the TPI air duct and two filters, that is. Maybe you ripped or just didn't plug back in your MAF sensor, if it even has a plug. As I said, not much knowledge on MAF for these cars, but that's where I would say to look first. The sensor is a big round one in the middle of the rubber ducting just before the throttle body, if you didn't already know.
