oil port plug size

I have a pre 86 350 in my 91 rs. I am wanting to move my oil pressure switch/sender from above the oil filter to the port by the distributor. Will the oil plug by the distributor fit in the hole by the filter?

Also, the plug by the distributor needs a square socket. Anyone know what size it is?

No; that one is ¼" pipe IIRC.

Anyone know what size it is?
Crescent wrench. (make sure it's not a metric one )

Not sure....

Can I give you my 1/8 of a dollar in exchange for your ¼ of a dollar? maybe even, a coupla thousand times?

I thought so.

OK so the sensor by the filter won't fit in the port by the China wall?

Re: oil port plug size

the reason i am asking this is because it is a pain in the butt to tighten. i figure if i moved it to the top it would be easier.

that or i was reading on here a little bit. would i be able to just completely remove the sensor and still have the stock fuel pump work?

Re: oil port plug size

Doesn't sound like your using the correct sender socket, plenty of room above the oil filter not so much behind the intake.

Re: oil port plug size

Its a pipe thread, a tapered thread. Remove it put some liquid Teflon or Rtv on the threads and tighten it down. It is hitting the block, you might need to goto the hardware store buy a short 1/4 npt straight piece and a 1/4 female street fitting.

Re: oil port plug size

If not making a piece to extend it out 2 inches will fix it and be under $10
