Fuel in exhaust/surging idle

I have not driven my camaro in the last few years. I have run it on occasion just to keep everything primed but not that often. Last summer the car wouldn't start and it turned out the injectors were clogged. I replaced the injectors and spark plugs and the car runs but not very well. It starts fine but after idling for a minute the idle get a little rough and the revs will dip and surge for a while until it inevitably stalls. Also it makes the entire garage smell like a gas tank. My first thought would be egr but I am open to other opinions.

Ditto but maybe not running quite rich as yours.. but you can smell it.. Today I tried to get the damn IAC off and couldn't.. I tightened back down to where I thought it was and now the car won't idle when it's cold, I need to keep my foot on the gas a little until it warms up.. and now the car is idling at 950-1000 when warm.. that seems high, it used to idle at 750.. hopefully my mechanic can fix it tomorrow.. I'm getting the proper memcal 350 as it currently has a 305 in it when my engine is a 350.. I did NOT do this.. lol

Not yet. I took the erg off and cleaned out the passages as best as I could. The diapram seems to be working properly. I just got the gasket so I am goign to reasseble it and see if that made any difference. I doubt it will though. I need to check for any vac leaks next since they are what 22 years old now. I will let you know if I find anything.
