How much power are my mods adding

Hi I got a 1991 z28 with the 305 auto. .273 mono 115,000 miles right now all it's got is headers I think there mid length or long tubes, to a y pipe, exhaust 2.5 inch piping the whole way out. Going on In the next few days, will be a carbon fiber cowl hood, k&n air filters, jet stage 2 performance chip and .373 or .342 posi can't decide yet the trans is also rebuilt with corvette servos and corvette valve body. Any info on about what I can aspect from these mods would be helpful! Thanks in advance!

Re: How much power are my mods adding

Only mods that will add power is the K&N filter and the jet chip. I'd say about 10-15hp. The gears will make it feel snappier and the carbon fiber hood is a good start to reducing weight for a better hp/weight ratio.

Thanks man! Everywhere I read it said headers and exhaust add some decent hp but I didn't know if it would to the tpi.

That's fiberglass I'd bet money on, especially for $50... Carbon fiber hoods are not common at all and most of them aren't true carbon fiber; they are a composite using fiberglass with a layer of carbon fiber on the outside.

It's carbon fiber I know it is he sold it cheap because it was on his z that was totaled and he said he was scrapping it plus I know what a carbon fiber hood looks like and how durable they are

3.42 gears are the way to go for a stock TPI and even for a mild built TPI. Put a 3in cat-back exhaust system on. You could pick up another 15HP.

Now you really need to get a pic, because we all think you got duped otherwise.
