Re: Bolt On Mods Help!

I have a n 89 formula l-98 I have CAI UD pulleys ported runners and plenum airfoil and a chip from pcm of nc seems to run pretty strong never had it at the track but idd run it couple of times with my old g-tech and would run 13.7-13.8 so I would be happy with low 14's at the actual track.

Start with

Hooker 2055 or Dyno Don shorty headers (Both come with emissions if you require it where you are) or long tubes for dual exhaust if you have a manual.

If you run single exhaust, same headers as above (Get the shorties), and run 3" catback. Magnaflo's set up is actually very decent. Dual exhaust, run 2.5".

This alone will free up 10-30hp depending on your set up.

After this, it all depends on what you consider bolt on.

Some people consider a new set of heads "bolt on". For some it's a cam swap. Don't buy a "Tuner chip" from a company. Tune your own or take it to a shop that will do it. either way, use a dyno.

I would personally start with a full tune up and exhaust upgrade and go from there.
