Weird battery issue

You may have seen (several) of my topics here but I have finally noticed a trend. On my 86 ta 305 tpi anytime the battery is disconnected it rides rough and through code 44 for a while and then evens out after a week or about 100 miles. No codes. No rough driving. Just like a new car. Noticed it happened after I've unhooked my battery for testing twice. I do intend on replacing it Monday. But just worried it will make it run rough for a week again. Anyone have any ideas? Maybe a bad ground? I've done some checks and there are no vacuum leaks.

Re: Weird battery issue

Logic went out the door for me. Disconnected battery this morning. Ran rough and lean and stalled. Drove to interstate and got a big fat battery stuck in there and now it runs like a brand new car. I'm glad it's fixed. Maybe bad grounds. I'm not sure. Never had a battery make my car run lean

Well some computers have to re-learn the settings after you disconnect the battery.
