what would cause the oil pressure sending unit to leak through the connector?

I'm about to replace my oil pressure switch yet again (the one that has a pig tail to it, not the single blade for the guage). Its been about half a year since I got the new switch, and out of nowhere it started leaking like the other one. I can't get up close to watch it, but it looks like its just pouring out of the pigtail. Oil pressure on my gauge seems to read fine, when warm it runs at a around 30 psi at idle and about 60 cruising down the highway. My car just started running bad, idle surging and sometimes stall. I replaced the distributor since I had a feeling it has something to do with timing. But maybe this leaking switch has been the issue?

Yerbasic failure.

Not impossible that it might affect how it runs, since it's involved with the fuel pump.

Doesn't matter though; doesn't matter how long it's been since replaced either. It's fornicated: it leaks. Replace it. Go from there.
