oil pressure port???

oil pressure port???

Is this an oil pressure port back near the dizzy? I swear there was a plug in there before I sent this off to the machine shop.

nah. they have been like that since the gen 1 sbc was developed. IMHO its the best place to hook up your oil gauge.

I guess if you are running a mechanical gauge. My 1991 has the sending unit above the oil filter, so I guess this just gets plugged up.

yeah, different applications ,have it in different places. as in .on my 86 it is where the oil pressure and the fuel pump switch are

Pretty much:

The size is 1/8" NPT. You can get brass plugs in that size in the plumbing dept of any hardware store. Or even, home improvement stores.
