Currently running 041 cast heads and have been told I need better flowing heads so now I just need a idea of what to look for at the local swap meets. All help is greatly appreciated!!! EDIT: As midias said I guess the setup would be needed to help lol.. 350 .60 over summit flattop pistons, a 272TL-6 Comp cam with edelbrock performer intake and edelbrock 600cfm.. and its a street car made to drive hard lol.. but i do intend on getting edelbrock victor jr intake and holley 750 dp

Pretty much going to have to be aftermarket or Vortecs, at this point in history.
Watch for Dart or AFR. Avoid the chineeeeeeeze crap. (if it says "skip white" RUN AWAY) TF is good but needs special attention. World S2 is OK but outdated.

Re: What heads should I use?
Before pitching your 041 heads in the scrap pile, look on the block side of the heads. Look for the "X" on either pair of intake ports.
These "X" heads are supposedly higher flowing than the same casting number non-x heads. Some people scour junk yards looking for these things for some reason. They seem to be big deals. Maybe they have value to someone for a restoration project....?
