l98 help

I got a l98 out of a 1992 camaro for really cheap. Its seized so I'm going to pull it apart and inspect the bearings and replace all gaskets and seals. It had around 70,000 do you think I should replace piston rings while I'm in there or do you guys think they will be ok?

If it's seized now then yes rings will be a must.

Re: l98 help

If it's seized, its probably gonna need a bore and possibly an crank align bore/hone.

Should also get it sonic tested to see if it doesn't have hairline cracks.

Hope you didn't pay much for it.
