Timing for 350 hsr t5 88 gta

Car: 1988 Gta trans am
Engine: LR4 4.8
Transmission: 98-02 t56 6 speed
Axle/Gears: Bw 9 bolt (3.70’s) pbr rotors
Timing for 350 hsr t5 88 gta

Ok so im in the process of putting the distributor back in and im wondering about timing do i need to be right at 0 degrees or should i be 8 degrees btdc i know as long as u are in the 0-8 degree range the engine will fire up as long as the firing order is right am i correct or talking like i dont know what im talking about any help would be great

Will run at either. Prolly will run better at 8 BTDC.

Ok so i was correct looks like ill go at 8 degrees btdc now when i drop the dizzy down where ever the rotor is pointing that's where no.1 spark plug will be hooked up to
