1989 iroc which heads to use?
I bought a 1989 Iroc with a "Knocking" 350. I have acquired a 350 TBI truck motor (1991 Z71)as a replacement.Im going to replace the head gaskets and valve seals.I'm not sure if I'm going to use the TBI heads or the TPI set.The TPI heads have odd valve springs.I'm keeping the roller cam and going to use the truck windage tray, but I'm not sure on the heads.

Those swirl port truck heads suck unless lots of $ are spent porting them. The L98 heads are far superior.

That's wat ive been reading. I had always been told they were garbage, but against the 083 castings I don't see a lot of difference Fast
