305 tbi being an ***
I have a 88 iroc with a 305 tbi. All stock. It was running good for a long time after I replaced the valve seals. Just last week it's been messing up. That is what happen. I almost ran out of gas going to the gas station. I made it got gas it was running good when I drove about 15mil down the road stoped at a light tryed to take off it started spitting and popping most of it out of the tbi carb.i thought maybe water in the gas. Went to Walmart got a bottle of heet water gas treatment. Drove about 30 more mil still same spitting an loss of power. But when setting still it was running normal. So after that gas was gone I got more gas at a new station. Put some hightes in her with some gas booster. Still no power an spitting out the tbi carb. Now it's making a nocking sound from the motor. Sometimes it there some times it not. So I ran that tank clean an got new gas now the car is doing vary bad I can put it to the floor an it bucks an spits but if I go easy on it the car will go but still spits an sometimes it knocks.
I don't know if its a rod bearing or what. Thought a rod bearing would be there all the time.
I will post a video tomorrow when I take the valve covers off.
Please no comments like trash it an get a 350 I want to keep it all stock matching numbers.

Would that make it knock an spit out the tbi?
An update I Tyed to start this morning it didn't start after a lot of try's . I pulled the aircleaner off an primed it an Tyed it was spitting the gas out the tbi an it was sounding like it was chockin. I got it started. An it was running good didn't drive it.

It's also possible that you damaged the pump when you ran it dry. There's no easy answer here. Replace the fuel filter, check your pressure at the fuel rail and get back to us.

Ok pulled the valve covers an found out 3 rockers where not moving. So I pulled the intake an I had 3 bad lifers. Replace the lifters now one rockers will not mover. I pulled the lifter an found out its a bad lobe on that chamber. I'm getting a new cam will post a link

Also I was cleaning the intake an I seem that 4 bolt holes where drilled at a angle . Whats that mean?

here are my numbers.
Back # 14010201
Front # V0204T0C
this is a small 2 stamped between the 0 and 4
I looked up the back number an came up with 305 car/truck years 80 to 85.
I need to know what I have so I know what cam to get.
