Coil ground strap installation

I hate having to ask this but I got new AC Delco coil and it came with two little straps and I am trying to figure out just what to do with them. I have searched the internet with no luck.
I know I have to cut the old rivets out and bolt in the new coil but where do these straps go?

Re: Coil ground strap installation

For a clean factory-like install you ditch the straps, drill out the rivets that hold the stock bracket to the stock coil, move the bracked over to the new coil, replace the rivets with appropriately-sized nuts/bolts and bolt it all back to the stock location.

I prefer to use nylock nuts so they don't ever back off, but a little dot of Locktite with a standard nut will work fine, too.
