Hello I made a post on here a few weeks back about my 305 tbi iroc not running right but found out that that cam was bad. I replaced my cam with the sum-k1102 an was running vary good for 5 days
Now just today I was going to the store just going down the road at 25mph the car just shut off. I pulled to the side an tryed to start it but would not start. I popped the hood to check an see what was wrong every thing looked as should. I tryed to start again but can only start it with the gas petal pushed if I let go it would stall.
So I pulled the map vacume hose an the car will start an run but vary bad. Got it home. Plugged the map back in Same will not start. Took the map out an it started but runs bad.
What would that be the map bad?

 

Check fuel pressure.
Any codes?

 

Gas psi is good. I will check for codes need to replace the light

Ok I pulled the iac the little pin will not move in or out .that sound right?

Found the edit button. Site logs me out so didn't see it.

Anyways I checked the computer for codes an the only code showing is 12

Ok I did a test.
Unplugged the map wire. The car started but ran vary bad. With the car running I plugged the map wire back it an the car just stalled as soon as I plugged it in.

Replaced the cts and the map. The car still runs the same way

My car had the same issue. It ended up being the ignition control module.

 

I was not home. When I got home the car was in my back yard wtf? An a note on my door saying u owe me.

 

If true a VARY , VARY stupid thing to do . I sincerely hope you are kidding . I'm calling B/S on this post .

 

No I'm not kidding. That same day I had a friend of mine take me to Walmart an when I got back guess what was in my back yard. My camaro. I was like wtf. I walked over to it an a note was in my door . It said you owe me. Wtf. Anyways yes it's locked up wont even turn over.
Anyways today I called the only guy I know who has a tow truck John an he was the one who towed it back he said he know it was mine because I'm the only one around here with a green 88. Iroc. We got to talking an he will help me get a 350 for it. We looked at a junkyard an found some good ones. One 350 is out of a c20 van tbi. The other we looked at was a 2009 350 with no intake with 80k on it.
So I we are thinking the 2009 350 but we don't want to do a lot of modding to the car to get it to run.

 

I am not sure you should be driving. Requires a certain amount of level headness
