Fuel pressure regulator 1990 3.1L

My manual says the fuel rail and the regulator are one unit and to not remove the regulator, but I see the regulator is sold by autozone. What's the scoop?
I think my regulator is bad.

Autozone sells the spring and diaphragm tha goes inside the regulator which is located on the fuel rail. What makes you think yours is bad? I replaced mine because fuel was bleeding out of the vacuum port when I removed the hose indicating that I had a ruptured diaphragm. Give us a little more info. Thanks.

The fuel pressure stays the same when I remove vacuum from the regulator. I believe the pressure is supposed to increase. The car wouldn't rev up, it would just die when punching the accelerator. For some reason the car won't stay running now. I accidently used plumbers solder on the ignition coils new electrical connectors, I wonder if that why it won't stay running. The fuel pressure was 42 psi with the car off and the key on. I put the old coil back on temporarily with no improvement.

Do you have the original injectors? If so, you may have to remove the plenum and ohm the injectors. All should be be in the 13 - 14 ohm range. Anything below that is probably bad. I had two that ohm'd in the single digits. Replaced all of them with a set from Southbay.

I think the VATS needs to be bypassed before I take it to the next step. I checked the ohms last night and if i remember correctly i came up with 9.44 K and i think that means no. 14 bypass unit from ricks camaros.
