Check Engine Light is Dead (or is it?)
Hey Guys,
I have an 85 Trans Am 305 LG4 and the check engine light has a bulb - but it does not light up.
The Smog equipment has been removed so i am wondering if the person who had it before me just disconnected it because all of the valves are disconnected and the light was constantly on?
The question i have is - how do i check that?
The bulb is there, but where would you disconnect it? Can you do that from the engine bay? The fuses are all there and working so it is not a fuse.
Amy help appreciated before i remove the whole dash :-/

you said all the smog stuff is gone: is the ecm still there? if not, there won't be a light..

Not sure I never checked. There is definitely an ecm fuse though.
My mechanic has it now so we'll see.
