I would start with code 43 , see link in post #2.
This could be a bad ECM.

Re: Need assistance with Codes 43 - 45- 53

I will read through that. As I was researching code 43 I found someone stating that the knock sensor wire running against the spark plug wires could cause this..... I went & checked it & it was resting against 2 wires. I went to pull the end off the sensor to re route it & the whole plug fell apart.... So, could that be the problem? Also where would I find this connector to splice in?

Thank you

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ACDelco-PT308-Knock-Sensor-Connector-/171776763241?hash=item27feb16569&vxp=mtrThat would do it, then disconnect the battery for 10 min or so and see if the code 45 comes back.

Does the color of the wire matter? found another listening for that motor, says correct blue wire, it is tan on the car.

Your correct the wire color is blue, you maybe able to find the pigtail with a white wire but it doesn't matter as long as it's soldered shrink tubed and reinstalled. Or a crimp shrink weather proof connecter.

Ordered the connecter

Just went & started the car, with no knock sensor connected and the car ran fine, however, just ran very rich. Plus no SES light.

Normally you will have a code set when driving without knock sensor. Mine wasn't connected when I got the car and it was setting code 43, I guess, all the time. But it only showed up when driving about more than 20 minutes or so.

Those are super problematic, due to age I would put a new pressure regulator in and a set of bosh3s 19#hr from Southbay fuel injectors.
