Adding AC into 86 SC

Hello, I bought an 86 Camaro SC about year ago and engine was out due to cracked cylinder heads. Not sure if the previous owner did this but there is no AC compressor, accumulator, etc in the engine bay at all. I took a pic of the engine bay. But what would all I need to get the AC back in the car? The climate controller is still in the car. I live in Phx, Arizona so it gets super hot during summer.

Re: Adding AC into 86 SC

If you are interested I have 2 parts cars with full AC systems I would be willing to sell the AC parts. I do not know if the compressors are good or not, but still have them and all other parts.

You need the box on firewall with coils in it, condenser, hoses, compressor, compressor brackets, accumulator.

Post a picture of your engine/engine bay/firewall. That will help us to see what all you do and do not have

From what I can tell from junkyard cars is if your climate panel in the car shows just economy settings (vent, heat) then it was not stock AC. Car with AC settings on the panel came from the factory with ac
