fuel sending unit and gauge

I need a new sending unit for my 84 Camaro gas level. anybody know of a universal type that will work with our tanks? im going to replace the dash gauge with a autometer one. do I need direct fit or universal work? thanks. I don't need one with feed or return lines as I run a sumped tank.

If you’re going to use a n Autometer fuel gage the best thing to do is to ask them about a sender.

Otherwise you can use a sender from any good racer parts supply house.

There are a variety of ohms from which to choose.

You might have to enlarge or reduce the opening in the tank.

Just buy a stock replacement they are cheap enough dont try getting stupid universl crap causr then u may need to widen the sending unit whole or it maybe to small direct replacement Nd ull be good to go
