Car won't stay running
Car won't stay running
My 89 camaro won't stay running for some reason it was out of time before and now that it is in time it wants to die out when I give it gas and if I get it to run going down the road for about a min it will then backfire like crazy and die could this be the tps going bad? I'm at a loss with it

Put the timing back wherever it was.
It can be a humbling thing sometimes; but, Rule #1 of situations like this is, if you do something to your car and it runs worse than it did before, then you effed it up. Your work is the first thing to check.

OK, so this setup (whatever it is) has never run right?
That's different from, adjusting the timing on a whim or whatever, and it commences to screw up.

Well turns out that the tps fell off cuz the studs were broke and the guy I got it from glued it or put silicone on it so got it fixed for now until I get new studs for it
