Throttle Sticking

Throttle is sticking in my 305. Not constant but every now and then usually in the same pedal position. Going to start with the basics and spray it all out with some carb cleaner. Should just be gunked up?

Re: Throttle Sticking

Gunk. Sure, that's the most likely cause. Possible cable binding, Possible weak spring too.

Re: Throttle Sticking

not sure if you're TPI or not but when the throttle shaft bushings wear out it causes slop in the shaft allowing it to bind up on the bores of the throttle body. the easy way to check is to try sliding the shaft left to right or up and down, there shouldn't be any play

Thanks for the tips! I sprayed it with wd40 and it seems to have fixed it!
