Edelbrock 8032 w/ quadrajet?
So I've finally got my electrical issues figured out and just need a few things before I'm ready to fire the new engine up. Has anyone used a Edelbrock 8032 throttle bracket on a vortec performer(2116) with a quadrajet and t5? I've tried the cheap spectre bracket with no luck. I just ordered a tci 376700 bracket. It bolts to the carbs rear mounting bolts so I'm hoping is will work with the vortec manifold.

Find you an 80s oldsmobile 307 in the wrecking yard. They have a bracket that bolts to the rear carb mounting bolts.

I'd try the Edlebrock before I tried the TCI. Why? It's adjustable. Adjustable counts for A LOT.
If your throttle cable is 1/4" too long to work with the TCI what are you going to do about it? Nothing. You're going to sit there and look at it and realize you wasted your money.
Even if the adjustment range on the Edlebrock isn't enough to make everything line up, you can always drill some more holes in it and move it around where you want it because it's TWO PIECES.
I use the similar Edlebrock 8036 on my (non-Vortec) blower motor. It's a beefy piece. Beefy enough that even though the carb sits almost FOUR INCHES higher on top of the blower than it would on a regular intake manifold, I just cut the bracket in half, welded in an extra 4" of steel plate between the two halves and welded it back together. It's brutally effective. Never had a single problem with it in over 10 years and I even run an automatic trans so I had to deal with a kickdown cable adjustment which you don't.
I like using Edelbrock stuff when I can because IT FITS. None of their stuff is the highest technology on the planet and nobody brags about having Edelbrock stuff on their car. But when I'm buying parts using nothing but "dead reckoning" Edlebrock stuff usually gets me closer to correct than anyone else out of the box.
