Which belt?

I removed he power steering on my 350 so just have the alternator on the passenger side, water pump and crank pulley. Would anyone happen to know which belt I'll need? No ac either and it's a v belt.

Re: Which belt?

Put you alt at middle of it's adjustment. Use a string or wire wrapped around pulleys, then measure that string.

Add about 1/2" to that and you will have your needed belt size and most of the part #. Belt part #'s are the V degree and length

Re: Which belt?

If you're using the stock pass side arrangement - stud in bolt hole in head, pistol-shaped bracket off the WP, bracket that covers over the top of the alt - use 7445 or 15450 depending on which numbering system the mfr uses. (7/16" wide x 44.5"long, or 15/32" wide x 45.0" long)

Re: Which belt?

I don't remember the belt number off the top of my head but I ended up using the stock belt from my old lg4 setup. I just adjusted the alternator to about halfway.

[I]This is an older pic from before I tightened the belt but you get the idea of what my setup is. No power steering anymore btw.
