Decoding engine ID
I've been trying to decode my engine id. Here's what I have got so far:
T1129 CEJ
18S180337
Engine assembled in Tonawanda on 29th November.
Partial vin shows built in 1978? at the St Louis plant.
St Louis built corvettes and trucks. The CEJ according to nastyz28.com was only used for 305's.
So, my engine was originally an LG3 out of a truck in 1978.
I'm not 100% on the info of the partial VIN and I can't see the block casting number with the engine in the car.
How did I do, any mistakes?
Thank you.

Re: Decoding engine ID
Tonawanda, Nov, 11
1978, CEJ ,305, auto trans, LG3, 145 HP, 2bbl. , full size
1980, CEJ ,305, LG4, 155 hp, 4bbl., Camaro/Impala
1982, CEJ ,305, LU5, Cross-Fir inj., 165 HP, TBI, F/B body
Based on Partial vin, you are correct. It came from a '78 truck
