cam and engine help

I have a 85 iroc z with a 305. I think the motor is a lg4 motor but in not sure I only looked at the vin.I have had the heads off and it has flat top pistions not dished. I put a 1102 cam from summit racing in it and now I was thinking about gettin the 1103 cam. Aslo I'm gettin a stage 3 summit racing intake. I have mid length headers from summit and full 2.5 exhaust with no cat. I was wondering if I should keep the 1102 or get the bigger 1103 cam. Which one will make the best proformance.

Re: cam and engine help

5-spd? auto? TC stall rpm?

What is a "stage 3 summit racing intake"? lol

What has been done to the heads? Will they accept added lift?

Re: cam and engine help

It is an auto and summit says that cam works with the stock conveter. The 1103 cams lift is .444 intake and .466 exhaust. The summit racing intake is just like a edelbrock performer air gap intake. If you know what that is. The heads have new valve springs and retainers plus New seals. The springs will take .500 lift

Re: cam and engine help

The 1103 cam will be a dog at low rpm with the stock TC, regardless of what Summit's literature says. Stick with the 1102.

Alright man thanks a lot. I'll stick with the one I got. That makes things a lot easier.
