HELP!! - Ignition Control Module

I have a 1988 Camaro RS 305 TBI (stock)-

About 5 months ago the ignition control module went dead, I had fuel up to the injectors but the injectors wouldn't work - so I replaced the module and it was working fine.. until now.

The ignition control module went out on me again! No biggie I can just replace it - it's not that hard but I was wondering if anyone knows why it went dead on me again just 5 months later? - I used the die-electric grease on it but not very much however i heard this is just to prevent corrosion and without it - it may shorten the life of the module - could that possibly be why it went on me again so soon?

Thanks for your help

What brand are you using?

I have had similar problems with the cheap aftermarket modules. I purchased an Accel module about 6 months ago, and it seems to be doing OK.

The others would NOT last at all! I wanted to try the MSD module, but couldn't find one at the shop.

Good luck!
