No turnover at all 89 GTA
Ok, a little history on this car, recent history. I just had to replace the fuel pump in my 89 GTA. The car sat for quite a few years. Cleaned the old gas out, replaced fuel pump and fuel filter. Then when i go to start it up, it tried to start, but just couldn't. I figured it had some old gas still left in the lines, so i connected the fuel pressure gauge to verify i had pressure, although i can hear the pump again now. I let it sit for a little came back to it, and now it won't even turn over. No clicking at the solenoid whatsoever. I got frustrated for the night and left it alone.
The next day, i came out and tried again. It tried to start again. Couldn't get it to fire off. Stopped trying for a few minutes, came back and tried again, and back to nothing at all. I've searched for this same problem and found similar posts, but nothing identical to my situation. From some of the posts i've read, i have checked the key, gotten to ohms reading, checked the vats connection to make sure i didn't break a wire and that all checks out fine. Now it is tough to get a reading from the key. Seemed to me harder than i thought it should be.
So, with that being said, what could be the issue here? Could the key or the lock cylinder be worn to where it will allow the key to start at times and not others? Oh, and at all times, unless already primed, i always hear the fuel pump but no turn over.
I'm rather stumped at the moment. I am changing the spark plugs now to make sure they are fresh and firing. I know i have spark also. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm way over due to have this thing back on the road.
Thanks

The wires for the vats in the ingition cylinder is the problem. Replace the ignition switch/cylinder and it will fix your problem

So, even though i did have the same resistance at the connector, you think it still may be a bad wire in the lock cylinder wiring? Of course, i haven't checked it every time it won't do anything, but the one time i did, it showed good.
