Long crank issue

New fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, and my car still takes long to start. I have to apply the pedal sometimes in order for it to start or else it'll just struggle to start.

What kind of fuel system? Carb? TBI? TPI?

305 TPI. I just see the smoke caused by valve seals.

Re: Long crank issue

Sounds like leaky injectors.

Pull em; soak em in lacquer thinner overnight; put em back in w new O-rings; see if it's any different.

No substitute for professional cleaning, really; but may prove helpful as a troubleshooting tool.
