Camaro won't start
Camaro won't start
I have a 1990 iron z 305 tpi and I'm fairly new to this so bear with me on this but it was running fine, I changed the spark plugs and when I drove it home and shut it off and now it won't turn back on. It will crank but won't turn over.It starts right up with starter fluid then the rpms will fluctuate then it'll die. I've replaced the fuel filter but that's about it and I'm stumped and what the problem is. Any ideas?

Do you have any fuel pressure?

silly question as it may seem but did you put the filter on correctly? putting on fuel filter backwards will keep it from running. easily can be done if your stuck under a car n just had a "duh" moment. we all have em.
really just simply back tracking on what you did, make sure you didnt disconnect something n forgot to attach it etc etc.

Re: Camaro won't start
If all you did was spark plugs, and it drove itself home, and it runs on starter fluid, then I would consider this unrelated.
Check the basics for fuel symptoms:
Fuel pressure 40-42 psi
Fuel pump priming
Injectors pulsing
also ensure that while cranking that the RPM gauge is bouncing, if it is completely still during cranking than it is likely to be your pickup coil in the distributor.

verify filter is in correctly, if it is get a fuel pressure gauge (can barrow one from most auto parts stores) and test for pressure could be looking at a bad fuel pump.
