Car: 1989 Iroc
Check engine light comes on after driving at highway speeds at 15m. Turns off w/key.
I tried searching, and couldn't find my problem.
Basically, if I drive the car around town, no problems. But if I get it up to highway speeds for 15m or so, the check engine light comes on. I can't hear or feel the motor do anything when it happens. It also resets it'self when you turn off the key, so I don't think I can get any codes.
A few things about my car.
*the 700r4 has been swapped for a 350
*The stock shifter was been swapped for a hurst(I think, maybe B&M, I didn't do it. ) thus the neutral switch isn't hooked up properly, making me shift it on my own.
*all the smog is disconnected

That will do it, it is likely the EGR code 32 being set. Blink out the codes via a paper clip to see which one it is.

If the SES/CEL stays on long enough a stored code will be set.

RBob is probably correct. Had the vacuum line fall of my EGR and this was the result.
